Collection Overview

One thing that makes the Simpson Library unique is our strong connection to history. In addition to a rich collection of books and periodicals, the library is home to over 200 artifacts from right here in East Craftsbury and around the world, donated to the library over the last 100 years. In addition, the Library houses a large collection of materials relating to Vermont history, local history, and the history of Miss Jean and the Simpson family. In 2021 we initiated an archiving project, to document what is here, improve storage of historic materials, and expand access to these materials for the community.
